Greater Akron Chamber, Cuyahoga Falls Leaders Celebrate the Grand Opening of The Business Commons of Cuyahoga Falls

CUYAHOGA FALLS — Built on a century-long tradition of connection, collaboration, and small business support, The Business Commons of Cuyahoga Falls is celebrating its grand opening in downtown Cuyahoga Falls—a space that will create new opportunities for business leaders to work, connect, and grow.

Located at 111 Stow Avenue, The Business Commons of Cuyahoga Falls, powered by the Greater Akron Chamber, offers coworking space, leased offices, meeting and event space, and small business resources and programming. More than a workplace, The Business Commons is designed to bridge relationships rooted in Cuyahoga Falls with expanded access to regional resources, programming, and networks fostered through the Greater Akron Chamber.

“The Business Commons of Cuyahoga Falls is a modern approach to serving small businesses while honoring the legacy of the Cuyahoga Falls Chamber,” said Steve Millard, President & CEO of the Greater Akron Chamber. “By investing in a space designed for connection and learning, we’re creating new opportunities for our members, business owners and leaders in Cuyahoga Falls and surrounding communities to come together to connect, learn, and grow.”

“The opening of the Business Commons of Cuyahoga Falls represents an important investment in the growth and long-term success of our local and regional business community,” said City of Cuyahoga Falls Mayor Don Walters. “We are proud to support efforts like this that foster innovation, encourage partnership, and help businesses thrive here in Cuyahoga Falls and throughout our region.”

The grand opening of The Business Commons marks a major milestone in a multi‑year partnership between the Greater Akron Chamber and the Cuyahoga Falls Chamber. In December 2025, the organizations transitioned the Cuyahoga Falls Chamber into The Business Commons of Cuyahoga Falls with a shared commitment to strengthening small business support and connectivity in Cuyahoga Falls and throughout the region.

“I’m excited to see this unique partnership between the Cuyahoga Falls Chamber and the Greater Akron Chamber come to life,” said Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro. “The shared workspace at the Business Commons of Cuyahoga Falls is a true asset to our business development efforts in Summit County, reflecting a strong commitment to innovation, collaboration, and adaptability. This is exactly the kind of forward-thinking approach that moves our region ahead.”

“Our partnership with the Greater Akron Chamber has evolved into a strong, refreshed identity that reflects how we do business in Cuyahoga Falls,” said Ned Parks, owner of Aegis360 Consulting and member of the Cuyahoga Falls Advisory Council. “We’ve already seen stronger engagement, deeper collaboration, and real momentum across the Chamber community, and we’re excited to build on that with the opening of this space.”

The April 22 grand opening celebration set the tone for how the Commons will bring people together through shared learning and meaningful connection. Members, local elected officials and business leaders gathered for a formal ribbon cutting ceremony, followed by the space’s first Small Business Lunch and Learn featuring Kathy Romito Rainone, a Cuyahoga Falls native and member of the Cuyahoga Falls Advisory Council, who shared insights on the importance of relationship‑building as a catalyst for business success.

“Strong networks are essential to strong businesses, and The Business Commons of Cuyahoga Falls creates intentional opportunities for people to build relationships, share knowledge, and support one another,” said Kathy Romito Rainone, Community Relations Manager at Western Reserve Hospital and member of the Cuyahoga Falls Advisory Council. “I am honored to have kicked off what will be a great series of conversations and connections at The Business Commons, and look forward to seeing the new relationships and connections happening throughout the space.”

A PLACE TO WORK, CONNECT AND GROW

From a daily workspace to dynamic small business programming, The Business Commons is designed to foster a vibrant, engaged business community. Members and visitors alike benefit from opportunities to build relationships, exchange ideas, and grow alongside one another.

Coworking plans start at $100 per month, with day passes available beginning at $12 per day. The space is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi provided by Twin Pines, a kitchen and coffee bar, printing and scanning services, free parking, and on-site reception support. Additional business resources including notary services, professional mailing addresses, and certificates of origin are available to help meet the day-to-day needs of growing companies. The facility is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with coworking members having 24/7 access to the space.

Looking ahead, the Chamber will host nearly 30 small business events at The Business Commons throughout 2026, including lunch and learns, resource roundtables, speed networking, and business owner peer groups such as Goldmine Groups and PeerSpectives. Together, these offerings reinforce the Commons as a hub for shared learning, meaningful connection, and ongoing business growth.

“This space reflects our belief that collaboration fuels growth,” said Julie Brandle, President of Metis Construction Services and Chair of the GAC Board of Directors. “By creating a welcoming home for connection and learning in Cuyahoga Falls, we’re strengthening the local business community while opening doors to broader regional resources and relationships.”
