Cuyahoga Falls – After nearly a century of supporting local businesses, the Cuyahoga Falls Chamber of Commerce is beginning a new chapter as The Business Commons of Cuyahoga Falls (The Business Commons), powered by the Greater Akron Chamber. Located in the heart of downtown Cuyahoga Falls at 111 Stow Avenue, The Business Commons will serve as a vibrant hub for entrepreneurs, freelancers, remote workers, and small business owners to work, connect, and grow.

Opening in early 2026, The Commons will feature:

“This transformation honors nearly 100 years of the Cuyahoga Falls Chamber’s legacy of connection and collaboration amongst businesses and the community while positioning it for a stronger, more sustainable future serving small businesses in the Greater Akron region,” said Steve Millard, President and CEO of the Greater Akron Chamber. “There is an ongoing desire for continued connectivity between businesses in Cuyahoga Falls and throughout the region, and our vision is to create a space for our entrepreneurs, freelancers, and small business owners can work, connect, and grow and looks ahead to new opportunities for innovation and success.”

“The Cuyahoga Falls Chamber and Greater Akron Chamber have long championed the success of our local businesses,” stated Cuyahoga Falls Mayor Don Walters. “This new chapter will further strengthen that support and create additional opportunities for our companies to grow and thrive.”

A Partnership for the Future
The transition from the Cuyahoga Falls Chamber to The Business Commons of Cuyahoga Falls follows several years of changes at the Cuyahoga Falls Chamber, the last several of which involved strategic collaboration with the Greater Akron Chamber. Together, the organizations recognized that uniting under one brand would create a clearer, more powerful voice for small businesses.

“The transition to The Business Commons of Cuyahoga Falls represents more than a name change—it’s a commitment to supporting small businesses with the resources, connections, and a collaborative space they need to grow and thrive,” said Kathy Romito, community relations manager at Western Reserve Hospital and member of the Cuyahoga Falls Advisory Board. “Our partnership with the Greater Akron Chamber has allowed us to create a hub that honors the rich history of the Cuyahoga Falls Chamber while embracing innovation and growth for the future of our business community.”

When the partnership between the Cuyahoga Falls Chamber and the Greater Akron Chamber launched in November 2024, it expanded access to a broader portfolio of programs, events, advocacy, and economic development resources for small businesses across the region. The Chamber has since seen an increase in attendance and engagement at events, and more members taking advantage of a portfolio of benefits.

As with the launch of the partnership last year, Cuyahoga Falls Chamber members who maintain their membership will receive benefits through the Greater Akron Chamber and gain new access to programming, events, and peer-to-peer support through the Goldmine Groups—all hosted at The Business Commons.

“The Cuyahoga Falls Chamber saw the potential in this building and dreamed of creating something innovative and forward-thinking for our business community. Today, it’s incredible to see that dream finally taking shape,” said Adam LaFaber, owner of Digital Sandwich and member of the Cuyahoga Falls Advisory Board. “The remodel of the Business Commons of Cuyahoga Falls is more than a facelift. It is a commitment to giving small business owners a vibrant, modern home for collaboration and growth. We’re grateful for the Greater Akron Chamber’s resources and partnership in bringing this vision to life.”

“The updated Business Commons of Cuyahoga Falls is a true asset in the heart of our downtown,” said Kaylee Piper, executive director of Downtown Cuyahoga Falls Partnership. “Steps away you’ll find everything you need from restaurants for lunch, cozy coffee shops, snacks and sweet treats, local services, retail, and beautiful views of the Cuyahoga River. It’s the perfect place to host a meeting, co-work, or permanently call home for your office, all while being surrounded by the energy of Cuyahoga Falls. The Downtown Cuyahoga Falls Partnership looks forward to the synergy GAC and this revitalized space will bring, honoring the legacy of our business community and supporting its continued growth. We are only getting started!”

Honoring Nearly 100 Years of Legacy
Since 1926, the Cuyahoga Falls Chamber has championed local business growth and community vitality. While the Cuyahoga Falls Chamber name will change, its history of connection and collaboration and its mission to support the growth and success of the business community remains the foundation of The Business Commons under a model that better reflects today’s business environment.
