Heather Flohr

Director, Finance & Operations

Heather serves as the Director of Finance & Operations at the Greater Akron Chamber, where she plays a pivotal role in ensuring the organization's success and sustainability. Her responsibilities span a variety of critical functions, including overseeing grant reporting and compliance, providing human resource support to staff, and managing the Chamber’s day-to-day office operations. Since joining the Chamber in 2019, Heather has been motivated by a desire to contribute to the Chamber’s positive impact on the Greater Akron region.

A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Heather served with distinction from 2004 to 2012. During her eight years of service, she earned several medals and Letters of Commendation, reflecting her dedication, leadership, and commitment to excellence. Her military background has equipped her with invaluable skills, including discipline, adaptability, and a strong sense of service.

Heather’s academic achievements include a bachelor’s degree in Social Psychology and a master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Park University. In addition, she is a Certified Notary Public for the State of Ohio, demonstrating her commitment to professional growth and community service. Heather is also a graduate of the Torchbearers Class of 2019 and served as Co-Chair for Membership in 2020.

Beyond her professional and military accomplishments, Heather is an avid reader and outdoor enthusiast. Over the past four years, she has read more than 815 books! She enjoys hiking and seeks out volunteer opportunities that she can share with her children, instilling in them the value of community service. Heather resides in Copley, Ohio, with her husband, their three children, and their two dogs.
