Daisha Okolo
Coordinator, Akron-Canton Advocacy Alliance
Daisha Okolo is the Coordinator for the Akron-Canton Advocacy Alliance, a partnership between the Greater Akron Chamber and the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce. In this role, she helps strengthen communication across both chambers, connects members with key information, and supports advocacy efforts around shared regional priorities. She chose this position because she believes in the power of community collaboration and the impact it can have on businesses throughout the region.
Professionally, Daisha is driven by the people and communities who have supported her journey. She enjoys researching legislation, identifying emerging issues that affect local businesses, and communicating these insights clearly to members. She takes pride in creating alignment across partners and helping stakeholders stay informed and engaged. She will earn her master’s in Applied Politics in December 2025 and has been recognized in the top 10% of her graduate class, in addition to serving as Co-Chair of Membership for the Akron Urban League Young Professionals.
Outside of work, Daisha enjoys life with her husband and their three children. She loves golfing, reading, painting, writing, and gaming—everything from video games to board and card games. Hosting competitive and fun game nights for friends and family is one of her favorite ways to unwind and connect.
