DriveIT, a high-tech skills training, media and experiential learning company, announced in a news release Tuesday that the monthly series will feature personalities from different walks of Northeast Ohio life and focus on leadership, innovation, vision and engagement.

Green has served as director of the Ray C. Bliss Institute of Applied Politics at UA since 1984. His presentation is titled SurrealPolitik: Leading a Medieval Institution in the Modern World.

Upcoming events include:
  • Sept. 18: Randy Cole, executive director of the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission.
  • Sept. 25: Blake Squires, principal of Hatch LLC and founder of Moveable.
  • Oct. 30: Mark Smucker, CEO of the J.M. Smucker Co.
The series is sponsored by the Greater Akron Chamber and is free and open to the public. Due to limited seating at DriveIT, the events will be live-streamed from the center at 755 White Pond Drive to an on-campus audience by the EXL Center at UA.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for refreshments and networking, with presentations starting promptly at 6 p.m. Participants for Thursday’s kickoff are encouraged to RSVP at https://tinyurl.com/driveitlivegreen through Eventbrite.
