Greater Akron—A groundbreaking Wednesday celebrated the beginning of work on the first building in a new suburban-style office park off White Pond Drive in West Akron. “We might be able to get 10 or 11 buildings in there,” said Sam DeShazior, Akron’s deputy mayor of economic development, noting the city-owned White Pond Office Park, south of Frank Boulevard, comprises more than 70 acres. Wednesday’s groundbreaking was for the new offices of accounting company BCG & Co., whose employees are now spread among three buildings in Akron’s Merriman Valley.
