Greater Akron Chamber and Binary Defense Partnership:
Dedicated to Creating a #CyberSafeAkron

What is #CyberSafeAkron?

The Greater Akron Chamber and Binary Defense have partnered to offer members a comprehensive Managed Detection & Response program.

Managed Detection & Response (MDR) allows small businesses to achieve cybersecurity beyond antivirus and gain enterprise-level protection in the most cost-effective way. Your Greater Akron Chamber membership will provide a 15% off discount of Binary Defense Managed Detection & Response software as well as a free Cybersecurity Assessment (normally $1,500).

In order to be eligible for this discount, you must be a member in good standing of the Greater Akron Chamber or join at time of enrollment.

What is an MDR Software?

1.png  Monitors data and activity on endpoints in order to find and contain threats that antivirus wouldn’t
2.png  Catches suspicious activity happening at the endpoint level and generates an alert

Why is it important?

  • Small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) tend to be easy targets for cybercrime

  • One in three SMB respondents experienced a security breach in the past five years

  • 60% of SMBs will close their doors within six months of being breached

  • Some SMBs don’t have an IT person on staff or one dedicated to cybersecurity
