Summit Brew Path Holiday Knock-Out Tour Hosted by Life Is Good No Matter What on Dec. 14

Complete your Summit Brew Path passport just in time to meet the December 15 deadline while supporting the mission of Life is Good No Matter What. Guests will meet at a central location (parking garage in downtown Akron, Ohio) and celebrate life today with tastings, give-a-ways, making new friends, and enjoying every stop along the way.

Guests will be transported to each of the 22 Official Brew Path stops to receive a free 2-ounce sample in their comemorative glass (44 ounces total!), stamp their passport and make any additional purchases to commemorate their experience. Each of the 22 stops will conclude after 20 minutes, for a total of 7.5 hours of craft beer adventure.

Tickets are $100 donation each with a limit of 50, first-come, first-served. Each ticket includes: charter transportation to all official brewery stops, commemorative Life is Good No Matter What 2-ounce tasting glass, 64-ounce stainless steel growler, a 2-ounce sample at each of the 22 breweries (44 ounces total!), and an official Summit Brew Path completion form. All paid guests will receive detailed information regarding parking, transportation, logistics and stuff that is fun. All proceeds support the mission of Life is Good No Matter What, a 501(C)-3 Non-Profit Organization.

Please join us for the 1st Annual Fundraiser benefiting the Ben Curtis Family Foundation
The event will be held inside the warehouse where aircrafts were constructed during WW2 by Rosie the Riveters!  There will be food, drinks, shopping, raffles, and prizes!  You won't want to miss this fantastic evening...in the company of women!  We will be celebrating local women-owned businesses, women who work in nontraditional roles, and young women who represent our future!  The highlight of the evening will be a Summer fashion show featuring styles from local boutiques with local models.  Participating local boutiques:

Medical Professionals, Families to Benefit from Living With Grief® Program Seminar on May 3

The Hospice Foundation of America’s (HFA) Living With Grief® program, “Transforming Loss: Finding Potential for Growth” will be presented locally at Kent State University at Stark.  Once again sponsored by the Canton Regional Area Health Education Center (AHEC), the 25th annual program will be moderated by Frank Sesno, former CNN anchor and current director of the School of Media and Public Affairs at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. The program will feature a panel of experts, who will explore the most current theoretical perspectives on loss and grief, emphasizing that loss engenders not only grief, but also growth.  The presentation addresses the phenomena of post-traumatic growth, and includes self-help tips for individuals grieving a loss and strategies professionals can use to assist individuals. This educational program combines presentations by experts with video, discussion and additional complimentary learning materials. The program is free and open to the public. No tickets are required. Registration begins at noon. Two (2.0) continuing education (CE) credits are available for a wide range of professions. Peak Viewing for Daffodils in Furnace Run Metro Park

Thousands of daffodils – including dozens of varieties – are expected to be at or near peak-bloom by this weekend and through the middle part of next week along the H.S. Wagner Daffodil Trail in Furnace Run Metro Park (3100 Brush Rd., Richfield). Parking in the gravel lot is limited to about 10 cars, so visitors are encouraged to be patient and go weekdays before 4 p.m. There are three picnic tables and a porta-potty near the start of the trail. The 0.6-mile Daffodil Trail is named for the first director of Summit Metro Parks. Harold S. Wagner planted the first bulbs there in the late 1930s. For more information, call (330) 865-8065.
