Summit Brew Path Holiday Knock-Out Tour Hosted by Life Is Good No Matter What on Dec. 14

Complete your Summit Brew Path passport just in time to meet the December 15 deadline while supporting the mission of Life is Good No Matter What. Guests will meet at a central location (parking garage in downtown Akron, Ohio) and celebrate life today with tastings, give-a-ways, making new friends, and enjoying every stop along the way.

Guests will be transported to each of the 22 Official Brew Path stops to receive a free 2-ounce sample in their comemorative glass (44 ounces total!), stamp their passport and make any additional purchases to commemorate their experience. Each of the 22 stops will conclude after 20 minutes, for a total of 7.5 hours of craft beer adventure.

Tickets are $100 donation each with a limit of 50, first-come, first-served. Each ticket includes: charter transportation to all official brewery stops, commemorative Life is Good No Matter What 2-ounce tasting glass, 64-ounce stainless steel growler, a 2-ounce sample at each of the 22 breweries (44 ounces total!), and an official Summit Brew Path completion form. All paid guests will receive detailed information regarding parking, transportation, logistics and stuff that is fun. All proceeds support the mission of Life is Good No Matter What, a 501(C)-3 Non-Profit Organization.

The Ben Curtis Family Foundation Presents An Evening on the Links on Jul. 23

The Ben Curtis Family Foundation was founded by 2003 British Open Champion, Ben Curtis and his wife, Candace in 2013. The mission of the Foundation is to help alleviate childhood hunger. Hyre Insurance Professionals' Luau on Jul. 10

The annual Professionals' Luau will be on RAIN or SHINE!  There will be enclosed building (with walls that open for a great cross breeze).  There will also be a Hawaiian burger bar, boating (we'll have a few boats giving rides), pizza, sides, drinks, desserts and leis for everyone!  We'll even have a professional DJ spinning Hawaiian/Luau music!  (Look for the Farmers Flag by the road so you don't miss the entrance.)  Bring plenty of business cards... we are expecting over 200 attendees all from our local business community!


We have an exciting line-up of sponsors this year:
  • Our main co-sponsor this year is SMOKE The Burger Joint, located in North Canton. They are providing a build-your-own burger bar, with their special Hawaiian Burger recipe, along with a traditional burger. They will be providing some of their delicious side dishes as well.
  • Teresa's Pizza will be providing Hawaiian and cheese pizzas!
  • Rita's Ice will be providing fruity frozen refreshment/desserts!
  • Gianna's Roofing will be sponsoring the frozen drinks at the BAR!

Accenture is partnering with International Soap Box Derby (ISBD) as the presenting sponsor of the Mayor’s Cup Race and the VIP Area at the 81st FirstEnergy All-American Soap Box Derby at Derby Downs on Saturday, July 21. Concert will be hosted by Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park World renowned, multi-talented musician, Sheila E., will perform a benefit concert to support the Akron Urban League at the Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park. The event will be the first in a series of three-day events which will serve as the kickoff to the Urban League’s three-year sustainability campaign. Patty has been with Jones Group Interiors and earlier with BIE – Business Interiors and environments for over 20 years. Patty and her team are the recent recipients of two Home Builders Association first place interior design awards for their work on the interior of Cortland Bank in Hudson and work at Blu Plate restaurant in the Historic Arts District of Akron.

Hale Farm & Village Presents Civil War Reenactment on Aug. 11 & 12
