Camp Next: Empower Young People

Camp Next is an event by Electric Impulse Communications meant to empower our young people. Our young people are going to have more opportunities to be visible and change the world than any other generation has ever had. These young people are our future. They need to be prepared to speak when the spotlight of life is on them.

When: Sunday August 15th from 12:30pm – 4:00pm
Location: Electric Impulse Office
Cost: $69 for first person, $59 for each additional person
Early Bird: $25 Off if you reserve your seat by June 7th

Engaging experienced speakers will address:
  • Answer “why you”: why should we select you or listen to you?
    How to “Network” tips
  • Quickly prepare comments so you don’t miss the moment
  • Tips for financial literacy starting early
  • Reduce anxiety that can get in the way of your message
  • Reduce or eliminate saying to yourself “I should have said…” Table etiquette so you can focus on your message not which fork to use How to be heard in small or large group scenarios
  • Dress to keep the focus on your message
  • Learn from those just ahead of you in school or the workplace
The speakers may change due to scheduling but are currently as follows:
  • Rachel Day - Self esteem and confidence
  • Marc Servidio - Financial literacy 
  • Paul Cincotta - Restaurant and table etiquette
  • Shon Christy - Social Media
  • Traci Buckner - Networking 
  • Panel of young professionals

The Bowery is proof real progress is being made toward regionalism.  There has long been talk of the need for a regional approach to economic development in Northeast Ohio. However, in most cases over the years, regionalism has been easier said than done.

Akron Zoo Carnival of Tails on Jul. 28

Hale Farm & Village Adult Trick Or Treating on Oct. 25

Trick or Treat for cocktails and sweets at our first, adults-only Halloween Party!  You’ll visit six Wine/Beer/Crafted Cocktail and Treat Pairing Stations as you weave and wind your way throughout the spooky grounds of Hale Farm & Village at dusk. We’ve hand selected the best locally-made goodies to pair with a variety of seasonal drinks for an experience like no other. Enjoy live, local music by Abraham James, beer tasting from Mucky Duck Brewery, and delicious food from our very own Cafe 1810. Come dressed to scare if you dare! Tickets must be purchased in advance for The Adult Trick Or Treat (general music night is free)

Revitalize Open House on May 30

Revitalize Medical Group is so thankful for all of their loyal patients who trust them enough to refer their family and friends to them. They are celebrating another successful year, so they would like to thank YOU with another open house/ party!  This event is also for patients who have been curious about what they do, and to check them out with no committment.

Revitalize will have free chair massage, an opportunity to try acupuncture, an essential oil station and more.  They will also have a tincture-making station, free evaluation of your stress with Heart Math, and mini lectures like last year -- topics to be posted later. Come explore the old, the new and everything in between in this open registration car meet. The entire 19th century living history museum is also open to enjoy. Hale Farm & Village Presents Music in the Valley Folk & Wine Festival on Jul. 13 & 14

Presented in partnership with Folknet, Music in the Valley is an opportunity to enjoy local musicians playing their banjos, guitars, and fiddles. Guests are welcome to stop and listen to the musicians as they tour the grounds, and can enjoy tasting wines from select Ohio based wineries. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs.
