Camp Next: Empower Young People

Camp Next is an event by Electric Impulse Communications meant to empower our young people. Our young people are going to have more opportunities to be visible and change the world than any other generation has ever had. These young people are our future. They need to be prepared to speak when the spotlight of life is on them.

When: Sunday August 15th from 12:30pm – 4:00pm
Location: Electric Impulse Office
Cost: $69 for first person, $59 for each additional person
Early Bird: $25 Off if you reserve your seat by June 7th

Engaging experienced speakers will address:
  • Answer “why you”: why should we select you or listen to you?
    How to “Network” tips
  • Quickly prepare comments so you don’t miss the moment
  • Tips for financial literacy starting early
  • Reduce anxiety that can get in the way of your message
  • Reduce or eliminate saying to yourself “I should have said…” Table etiquette so you can focus on your message not which fork to use How to be heard in small or large group scenarios
  • Dress to keep the focus on your message
  • Learn from those just ahead of you in school or the workplace

Camp NEXT is a one-day experience for anyone between the ages of 13 and 35. What if you knew at 18 what you know now?  Can you imagine the boost you and your life would have if you were a 20- or 30-year-old person with the expertise of someone twice your age?  With the idea of "camp for adults," we developed a new event for our NEXT generation of leaders.

Hale Farm & Village Presents Music in the Valley Folk & Wine Festival on Jul. 14 & 15

Presented in partnership with Folknet, Music in the Valley is an opportunity to enjoy local musicians playing their banjos, guitars, and fiddles. Guests are welcome to stop and listen to the musicians as they tour the grounds, and can enjoy tasting wines from select Ohio based wineries. $10 adults (ages 13+); $5 youth (ages 3-12 yrs); members free Wine tastings are $10 for a glass and 5 tickets (good for one tasting each). Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens Presents "Off the Vine: An Evening Paring of Food & Wine" on Jul. 19

Enjoy the gardens and the FUSED exhibit on a warm summer night

After starting the evening with a glass of sparkling wine, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy samples of more than 60 varieties of wine at stations throughout the historic gardens, complemented by tapas-style offerings by Acme Fresh Market Catering, Driftwood Catering, Taste of Excellence, and Todaro's; with desserts by Tiffany's Bakery. Music by Celestial Strings, The Stingers, Tuesday Musical, and Zach Friedhof will enhance the evening. The Manor House is open for self-guided tours, and OFF THE VINE is also an opportunity to see "FUSED: Garden Gallery of Art & Metal," the outdoor garden exhibit inspired by the paintings of Gertrude Seiberling.

A retail wine pop-up shop will be open during OFF THE VINE, so that guests may purchase bottles of their favorite samples to take home.

"We're excited to present Off the Vine so that guests can enjoy a beautiful summer evening on the estate. It's perfect for a date night, or an evening out with friends, and we invite all of our supporters to join us," notes Sean Joyce, President & Executive Director of Stan Hywet.
