Effective and successful negotiation is a combination of art and science. The art of negotiation comes from within. It is self-leadership and knowing one’s strengths and values. It is getting clarity on what we (really) want and knowing what they (really) want. It is having the self-confidence and a vision to communicate, collaborate and coordinate a positive outcome for all involved. It is putting a personal brand front and center with strength, savvy, and poise, while being thoughtful, understanding, present, persuasive, and engaged.

The Negotiating with Strength program has been specifically designed for the Women’s Network Leadership Institute. The program consists of four, 3-hour sessions. Each of the sessions build upon the previous sessions and each are highly interactive with a combination of engaging exercises, discussions, video, small group activities and breakouts, self-assessments, case studies, practice sets, brainstorming and more. The movie “Secretariat” is used as a baseline reference point in the art and science of effective negotiation, as is the alignment to the Clifton Strengths Finder Assessment.

Roxanne brings a wealth of experience, excellence, passion and knowledge to all she does.  She is dedicated to helping people and organizations discover and develop the very best of themselves, others, and their organizations, to create cultures and lives of genuine and authentic leadership and success.  

She is a highly respected and sought-after keynote speaker and published author; Certified Master in The Leadership Challenge®; i3 Leadership® Master; certified executive coach and facilitator; and an award-winning business/marketing strategist. Roxanne brings over 30 years of national and international corporate experience to her clients that range from privately held businesses to corporations in the manufacturing, healthcare, insurance, accounting, financial services, real estate, consumer products and construction industries, as well as many others.   

In addition to her corporate clients, Roxanne has also served locally in Cleveland and Northeast Ohio as a business coach in Case Western Reserve University’s Entrepreneurial program within the Weatherhead School of Management; as a strategic planning, marketing advisor, leadership development coach and subject matter expert to Cuyahoga Community College’s Corporate College; and as a certified coach and facilitator of the nationally known SOAR program for high potential women in business. 

Roxanne is a graduate of Sinclair College and Bowling Green State University; holds numerous executive education certifications from The University of Wisconsin at Madison and the American Marketing Association. She worked with the Greater Cleveland YWCA for many years as facilitator, coach and mentor of The Leadership Challenge in the Executive Women’s Momentum program; she is President-Elect (2020-2021) of the Ohio Chapter of the National Speakers Association; a Strategic Alliances Faculty member at Bay Path University in East Long Meadow, MA; a former long-term member of the Board and Executive Committee of the Counsel of Smaller Enterprises (COSE) and the Greater Cleveland Partnership; former Chair of Leadership Lorain County; and is active in other local and national professional development, coaching and business organizations.
