Job Summary

This role will be responsible for advancing the Greater Akron Chamber’s (GAC) and Elevate Greater Akron’s (EGA) research and strategy initiatives through data collection and analysis; translating data into stories and insights; and exploring new ideas and opportunities for the organization and the region

Job Description

  • Support multiple GAC and EGA functions, including Economic Development, Opportunity & Inclusion, Member Services, Government Affairs, and other Strategic Initiatives, by planning and executing surveys, analyzing and communicating results/insights.
  • Maintain a current and accurate database of regional economic metrics, and provide regular communication to stakeholders with analysis of results.
  • Assist with producing a Quarterly Research Update by identifying relevant data points and generating insights useful to the business community and our economic development partners.
  • Develop and communicate insights from multiple sources of data (e.g., surveys, economic indicators, etc.) to GAC leaders, to enhance priority projects.
  • Deliver data points, written summaries, slide decks, and/or verbal presentations to GAC and EGA stakeholders as requested.
  • Contribute to the organization’s efforts to increase the accuracy of its internal databases, including, but not limited to, tying in data collected from surveying into its membership database.
  • Serve as a key resource and support for the development and implementation of existing and new strategies related to generating and communicating insights within, and on behalf of, the organization.
