Chamber Presents The Morning Buzz on July 13 Featuring Pete Fierle

6/29/2018
Greater Akron—The Morning Buzz is a monthly speaker breakfast series, which aims to connect small- and medium-sized businesses by facilitating the exchange of ideas and strategies for business growth and success.  On Friday, July 13, 2018, join us to hear Pete Fierle, Chief of Staff & Vice President of Communications at the Pro Football Hall of Fame, present “A Vision for the Future.”

Pete joined the Pro Football Hall of Fame in April 1988. A current member of the company’s senior executive team, he was promoted to Chief of Staff & Vice President of Communications in January 2016.  In his role as Chief of Staff, he serves as an adviser and strategist to the President & CEO with the primary responsibility to coordinate and execute key strategic initiatives and company projects.  In addition, the role is responsible for team members’ adaptation to work culture centered around the company’s mission, values and vision.

Under his direction, the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s publicity reach has grown significantly and includes three consecutive years of continued record growth.  In 2017, the publicity reach of 64.6 billion print, online and broadcast impressions were generated for a calculated publicity value of more than $600 million.  The figures equate to four times the amount achieved just two years prior.

Before he joined the Hall of Fame, Fierle worked temporarily in the programming department at ESPN in Bristol, Connecticut.  He also served internships at WIVB-TV in Buffalo, New York and in the public relations department of the Buffalo Bills in Orchard Park, New York. From 1981-1990, he worked as a statistician and spotter for NBC's telecasts of Buffalo Bills games.  Fierle is a current member of the Stark Civic Group, a committee of business leaders shaping the vision for a growing city and community.  He also serves on the Board for Leadership Stark County that offers various programs to fulfill its mission of developing a corps of motivated leaders.  Fierle is a former longtime member and officer of the Board of Directors for the International Sports Heritage Association (ISHA).
